1. Q1. Trend?
   • Miyanaga-san — Viewpoint from an Interop related member:
     • OpenFlow's ShowCase this year is the most crowded one in my past experience.
   • Iwata-san — Viewpoint on the differences between US and Japan:
     • US
       • Providers
         Google uses self-produced OFC and OFS.
         Other providers — e.g. Yahoo! and Amazon — write codes themselves too.
       • Universities and laboratories
         They ordinarily use open sources.
     • Japan
       • "OpenFlow fever" since about last October.
       • Operators
         e.g. NTT Communications, shortly became leading-edge.
       • SIers
         e.g. NTT Data, prepared a controller as a tool for their system integration.
2. Q2. Possibilities?
   • Miyanaga-san:
     • Matters equal possibilities.
     • We'd better to find the answer ourselves, usecase by usecase, around,
       • Behavior as a network layer,
       • Flexiblity at APIs and
       • Operation improvement for LAN.
   • Iwata-san:
     • SDN must not be perfect; customization varies.
     • Currently, OpenFlow mostly focuses on the connectivity among datacenters.
       But in future, other applications — e.g. mobile networking — should be developed.
     • Programmablity will give us a different track than CLI operation.
